 Overview & Lines

  • Dubai Metro has two main lines: the Red Line and the Green Line.
  • You can use an electronic card called the Nol Card to pay for metro rides (and also other public transport in Dubai).
  • The network covers many major stations across Dubai including airport terminals, commercial areas, residential areas, and connects with buses/trams.

  • During peak hours (typically morning ~ 7:00‑9:00 AM, evening ~ 5:00‑7:00 PM), trains run frequently every 2–4 minutes
  • At other times (off‑peak), trains come every 5–7 minutes
  • Note: actual first/last train times may vary depending on the station and direction — especially late at night.

  • The metro map (above) shows all the stations on Red and Green lines. You can zoom in for station names, interchange points, and important landmarks.
  • The Green Line runs — for example — from Etisalat Station to Creek Station passing through central/historic parts of Dubai. 
  • The Red Line connects major areas including airport terminals (Terminals 1 & 3) and business/leisure districts. 

 Features & Useful Info

  • Dubai Metro trains and stations are air‑conditioned, modern, and fully accessible (elevators, tactile paths, etc.). 
  • There are dedicated cabins for women & children, and there’s also a “Gold Class” option (first‑class style) for more comfort. 
  • You can connect to buses, tram, or taxis easily from many metro stations good for reaching destinations not directly on the metro lines.
